Settling into The Hague

The Hague International Centre

The Hague International Centre (THIC) provides a special service to expats and highly-skilled migrants moving to The Hague. With just one appointment they are able to arrange your residence permit, registration in the Personal Records Database of the municipality (Gemeentelijke Baisadministratie GBA) and Burgerservicenummer (BSN). These are all required to be allowed to work in the Netherlands.


Making an appointment is easy and can be done through the employer or by calling 070 353 5043. For Shell employees the appointment will be made by TEAM Relocations.

The new centre will also include the municipal expat desk and ACCESS. The expat desk will answer all questions regarding municipal affairs and ACCESS is non-profit organisation committed to supporting the international expatriate community with information about living and working in The Hague region.
